CALL FOR RESEARCH INTO THE NOOSPHERE AND NOOGENESIS

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin used the term “noosphere” to refer to “the sheet of thought” formed by the spread of the human zoological group above (and in discontinuity with) the Biosphere. "Noogenesis"

refers to "a natural rise of consciousness in the Universe", leading to the emergence of the noosphere.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin imagines a certain number of benchmarks to contribute to a noosphere of communion: a sphere of reflection, conscious invention and union of people.

This can be achieved at both individual and collective levels. In practice, the completion of the noosphere he envisions brings into play the following fields of application in which actors can act:

- anthropological (conditions for optimum human development),

- sociological (fraternity, bonds, mutual aid and social well-being)

- geopolitical (international cooperation, international organizations, international constructions,     geostrategic groupings, etc.)

- economic and financial (solidarity, sustainability, social justice)

- religious (tolerance, ecumenism, inter-religious dialogue)

- media and communication (internet, social networks and their regulation),

- ecological and environmental.

Research into the noosphere may be of interest to all researchers and actors of good will in these varied fields, and could help to address the following challenges:

What contribution can we make to fostering greater unity between human beings? What's the right pace? What are the necessary steps? What is the possible outcome?

Key words: anthropology, psychology, sociology, geopolitics, entropy, negentropy
